Meal prep service

Was looking for good and affordable meal delivery services in the UK as I struggle finding time for cooking within my schedule and the Deliveroo orders were getting a bit too expensive. Ordered my first box and had very low expectations for the taste and quality but I was genuinely blown away.

Just started Sunday Meal Prep which is really good! Looking to check out some other options, what have you guys tried that you enjoy?

I am new to the area (LB & Lakewood). Lakewood thread isn't as alive as this thread is, so I wanted to try and post here. I am here for almost 3 months, looking for a good meal prep service.

Does anyone have a recommendation for personal meal prep and delivery? Looking for a service that cooks for a family with dietary restrictions and delivers meals for the week. Thank you!

I’m on the very cusp of burnout with a really stressful full time job and two little kids under 3. I need to shed some mental load so I’m looking towards these meal subscriptions services.

I started using 'My-Prep' meal prep service located in Glasgow around 4 months ago in the UK, and after 2 months they sent an email saying they're having technical issues so will be down for a week.

I’ve always thought about it but never tried an actual service for this. Any recommendations for local meal prep services that cater more to fitness/customizable plans?

My friend from school was recently diagnosed with cancer, and I’m trying to find ways to best support them during this difficult time. I’m thinking of maybe preparing meals for them as they undergo chemo treatment, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any meal prep services in OC?

A friend of mine recently signed up for Hello Fresh, and in doing so was given a few free vouchers to distribute to a few people. He sent one along to me, which gave me three meal prep packages for free. So I figured, what the hell. I'll give it a go.

Signed up about a month ago after reading this thread and other online comments on TrustPilot etc and I am pleased to say the same. Very impressed with the quality of food, the portions and the variety too as they change their menu every week.

Factor was okay for a while. Then meals got shorted. Some meals would show up cracked open. Boxes would show up days late.

MDK meal prep which I pick up at a co-op on 5th and Elm is legitimately good, Google them. It's not cheap though, but nothing is these days.

We use Five Eggs. They aren’t individualized but they have a menu you pick from each week and have things that accommodate different diets. They deliver on Monday.

Hello fresh is good - we've got a 5yo, 3yo and 2 adults, their 2 people meals are enough for the 4 of us. I usually cancel it when they're not offering a discount, after a month or so they email 40% discount for 2 weeks, so get that then cancel again.

I think protein shake + Lidl protein meals + Lidl protein puddings or yoghurt offer around that amount of cal and protein.

Check out Clean Eatz in Stone Oak. Been getting meals from them since they opened. You can order from their weekly meal plan, do custom meals, or pick whatever you want from their grab and go fridges.

MyProtein meals from Iceland are lovely, filling too, some of them have near 60g of protein, £4.75 a pop or 2 for £8 when on offer.

You'd probably have to jump through some hoops to do this out of your own kitchen, but "personal chef" meal prep in someone else's home may or may not have those issues. It's not something I could afford, but I'm sure the market is out there and the price sounds very reasonable to me.

I'm on r/workingmoms and there was recently a thread about how to delegate certain house tasks and this is one thing someone mentioned doing and the thread was ALIVE with people who'd love a service like this. I think hereabouts there's definitely a market, it's just about finding your niche/audience.

Honestly please do, I'd hire you. Sounds like a reasonable price for what's essentially an in home private chef service. And I'm not super high income or anything but it's the cost if not cheaper than ordering Doordash every night for 2 people for even just dinner...

Definitely try Eatwell Catering. They are great; I know a few MMA fighters who use them too, so I figure the nutrition must be good if it keeps those lads going lol.

Life circumstances means it's suiting us better to have our dinners pre-made and delivered to us at present. 2 of us at home. I see there have been posts about what local services are decent but is anyone getting meals that are actually healthy?

Any companies that do personal sized meal prep services like you can request your macros (high protein) etc.? Or just do meal prep in general for a reasonable price.

Going for quality here. Clean, organic, wholesome. This is for body building purposes, so custom macros would be super helpful. In your opinion, which is the best meal prep service in SB?

Looking to drop a few lbs for the summer, I've tried meal prepping myself but it takes too long and I feel like I'd be better off purchasing meals that are already portioned & macro friendly.
